This is not a freebie How ever it will be free for a limited time only get it while you can.

4 years ago I had a dream of building some type of small advanced AI robot that could do random things like move up to people and say hello or search out random objects and inform those near by of what it can see. Detect and avoid things like no build no script and no object entry parcels before it enters and becomes stuck. Have options to follow the owner like a pet or to have free will and roam the entire sim thinking on its own meeting people and avoiding the various objects around the sim. Obviously this robot has absolutely no purpose at all other then being the target of observation watching how it interacts with objects obstacles and avatars is extremely entertaining for those who enjoy artificial intelligence and robotics the first generations of this robot simply moved around in uncontrollable circles and had very basic code as I hadn’t developed the scripting knowledge to make it work as I intended 4 years later and the dream has finely come true.

So I am very pleased to present to you with the 5th generation AI robotics experiment/project I have been working on. I plan on extending this technology into new areas in the future.

So let’s get into some of the basics first I will explain the HUD

The HUD has been made as easy and as simple to understand there is no need to program any directions or coordinates as the robot makes these calculations all on its own.

HUD:

On: This turns the robot on

Off: This turns the robot off

Options: Opens the options menu

House: Clicking House will set this robot up to function inside your house or skybox after you rezz it simply click the house option then the robot will automatically raise above your floor it will appear to be hovering this is important as to avoid floor collisions this robot will relay on your walls and various objects inside your house to move around.

Land: By far the best way to discover just how much this little guy can do take this robot to a sandbox or rezz it on your own land.

Full sim: This option allows the robot to roam freely within the entire sim and ignore parcel boarders.

Current Parcel: This option allows you to restrict the robot to your parcel only. This is not %100 faultless feature there maybe times when it becomes confused and may jump into the next parcel this is why I don’t recommend leaving it rezzed while you are gone as you never know what kind of mischief it will get its self into while you are gone.

Follow me: This option sets the robot up to follow you where ever you go (This doesn’t include flying)

Free roam: This option is the sol reason I built this robot the free roam option gives the robot free will to go off and explore and interact with its world.

Avoid no build: This option will prevent the robot from moving into No object entry and No script parcels and becoming stuck.

Allow no build: This option will allow the robot to ignore No object entry parcels and No script parcels.

So over all if your interested in robotics or you are looking for an interesting pet with a mind of its own then I guarantee you this will meet your satisfaction.

Hi, I am a totally blind second lifer, this means, I unfortunately have the use of one viewer and one viewer only. This viewer is Radegast so there's two things against me for a start. if objects aren't clearly labeled, or have interactive scripted menus, they are almost impossible to use. would it be possible to incorperate a scripted menu in to the robot hud, so that those of us with little to no sight can control the robot? other than that, I like the concept. That is why this review has a 5 star rating. I'd have given it less, but that would be unfair as the item itself is a fantastic concept and could potentially be extended to become some kind of assistance aid for those of us with less than stella vision. I can explain more via IM my name is blindman75 Resident

I got this mostly out of curiosity but I'm glad I did. I have 3 rezzed out in the Robotics Bay of my Space Station ( I call them Huey, Dewie and Louie). The only sad thing is I can't actually rename them. But such is life

This is a great little built, I only wish I could mod him some to attach/link a 'self learning brain in a jar bot' on his back so he could carry around the chat bot (what a concept, a path finding bot with a chat bot hooked to it! two bots! mad lab stuff) or if you could place him in say a R2D2 body.

Anyway my review, hope it helps.
Tracks are animated, makes robotic sounds and beeps, the HUD is a very nice add with the built in radar its easy keep track of the little guy in case he gets lost or stuck while you're away. ... I haven't had the chance to fully test him since my building design is tall and the stair case isnt bot friendly (my steps are to steep for bots to climb atm) so I cant say on the path finding but over-all it seems good and if you want a realistic robot to buzz around your land this one is nice.

I hope to set him running for an extended period of time in the future to see how long he can last in the environment but for now i've got to many projects on my hands.
