Aer Viator: Steampunk Airship & Mooring Tower

The Bondar-Foehammer Aerosteam Company proudly presents the Aer Viator (latin for Air Traveler) Aeroship.

Fly the SL sky in your very own steampunk airship. Take two of your friends along and enjoy the scenery as you lazily explore your favorite sim. Expertly crafted textures insure a beautiful ship using just 30 prims allowing for physical flight. Buy one for your friends and play sky tag as you collide and bounce off your opponents airship. Make up your own games, or just enjoy the view from above!

Rezz the ship, tower, or ship & tower via rezz box menu

* Simply rezz the box to the ground level.
* Click the box for menu
* Select what to rezz from buttons: Ship Only, Tower Only, Ship & Tower
* Right click the ship and select 'Board' or' Fly' from menu or take the long way and walk up the mooring tower's spiral stairs and cross the gangway to the ship, right click and 'Board' or 'Fly'.

Clicking the options menu will allow you to hide the rezz box (turns invisible) It is recommended to leave the Sensor to the default off position. When items are rezzed, moving the rezz box will move the rezzed item(s) too. This will keep the Aeroship and the Tower aligned.

Click the 'Remove' button to remove any rezzed objects.

Note: When rezzed, the ship will appear above the ground by about 25 meters.

Flight

Flight is simple and slow, banks in turns. Use same controls as Avatar flight - arrow keys, page up, page down. Holding shift key down while moving left or right will 'slide' the ship in that direction.

Also try entering mouse look view, and steering left or right with the mouse in concert with the arrow keys forward or back, page up or page down. Tell your passengers to enter Mouse look view for the best experience!

Flight system is physical, which means your airship will bounce off things it collides with, and can cross sim boundaries with relative ease. I have traveresed 4 sims in a row with no more trouble than that experienced by just an avatar.

Don't expect to win any air races, this airship is intended to travel slow as a real airship might. Slow down and enjoy the ride!
