Aetheric Armillary- Victorian Brass

Throughout all our travels, Sharian and I hadn't stumbled upon anything quite like this. Here was a sage who had blended the complexity of mechanical contraptions with the mysteries of arcane wisdom, birthing a realm of peculiar oracular and magical devices. One such wonder adorned the scholar's cluttered worktable—an armillary, not unlike the one Sharian the Old had back in his own lab. But this contraption had an unusual twist; it moved on its own, humming with mystical energies swirling around its central globe while the rings danced independently, driven by concealed gears with a soft mechanical clicking. The sage grinned at Sharian's rapt examining of the armillary. "Its called the Aetheric Armillary", he explained. "It has both astrological and astronomical purposes. Great for oracular readings involving the aetheric influences on certain astral configurations". This new wonder introduced us to the realm of the Arcane Mechanist, a craftsman who'd blurred the lines between science and mysticism to craft astonishing marvels that defied easy understanding.

INSTRUCTIONS:

The Owner Only versions operate through a click and hold pop-up menu. A SHORT CLICK WILL NOT ACTIVATE THE MENU. Click and hold for a couple of seconds and then release to get the setup menu.
The Public Version operates though a pop-up menu, anyone can change the settings, and the globe will react to the globe only one person at a time. Public versions lack the script delete option. For obvious reasons the public version does not include the Delete Scripts menu option

On: On/Off Switch... will turn on/off the ring rotations in the armillary. Another click will turn off the rotations at whatever position they had at the moment.

Closed: Will set the rings to the closed aligned position when the ring rotations are off*
Splayed: Will set the rings to a splayed fixed position when the ring rotations are off*
* NOTE:Rotations in SL have always been.... finicky. Sometimes some rings wont take the rotation in your viewer despite having been rotated inworld. If this happens click back and forth the closed and splayed buttons once or twice. This is not a scripting bug, its a Second Life bug that has never been fully addressed.

Energy: On/Off Switch to activate the energy effect in the central Earth globe.

Glow: On/Off Switch to activate the glow on the gem side portions of the armillary's rings.

Light: On/Off Switch for the light effect emitted by the central globe. The light radius will change autmoatically when you do any scale changes to the armillary, just click off and on again the light after a scale change.

Light Color: Takes you to the light color selection submenu. You can choose from 1 of 9 color options for the light, when on.

RingG Color: Takes you to the ring glow gem color selection submenu. You can choose from 1 of 9 gem color variants.

Energy Color: Takes you to the central globe energy effect color selection submenu. You can choose from 1 of 9 energy color variants.

ScriptDel- Will delete all the scripts after confirmation and you will not be able to do any furhter changes to lights, rotations or planet. You will have to replace the armillary with a newly rezzed one. For obvious reasons the delete scripts option is absent in the public controlled version of the armillary. The rings will stay in the state they were when you hit delete. So if the rotations were on, they will stay so after deleting the scripts.

Close- Will set the orb to sleep, click again (or long click for owner version) to reactivate. The armillary will also go automatically to sleep after 2 minutes without receiving an order.
