Anyone can click on the item and they will wear an animated beverage in an aluminum tumbler. The item contains a custom animation that should work with most AOs. If you find this is not the case, you may need to turn off your AO. Most AOs have animations set to level 3 or below, but not all. The animation itself will still allow you to freely walk around, either way.
It's best to use the AVSitter Experience with this item, but it will still work correctly without it - you'll just be prompted to accept wearing the item first.
