Background on the real life design that inspired this product:
The american west was well suited for the raising of livestock, however a satisfactory supply of water soon proved to be one of the major problems for american ranchers in the ara. However, in 1854 Daniel Halladay, a machinist from Connecticut, created the first type of wooden windmills used for pumping water on the prairies. During the next few decades the design proves incredibly sucessfull and the windmill became an icon of the American West.
