It's not for roleplay. It's a builder's and parcel owner's tool for checking the pathfinding properties of Second Life objects. Used when setting up areas for pathfinding characters and for Animats NPCs.
To use, wear on left wrist. Touch it to turn it on; it glows, like a proper magical amulet. Then go into mouselook, point the mouselook cursor at an object, and click the left mouse button.
Messages appear in local chat.
