Weimar! Presents;
Antique rug with change texture menu and 33 textures
---------------------
Avoid disappointment, read carefully and see item inworld before buying!
*ABOUT THE OBJECT:
A lovely old fashioned rug with a menu that lets you easily choose one of 33 (!) supplied original first half of the 20th century rug textures and delete the script, or just use your own textures.
Some of the textures are perfect for large rugs, others more suitable for a small bedside or bathroom rug.
To keep lag down I've chosen 512x512 pixel textures but you can of course use larger ones.
100% mesh with nice detailed folds.
*ABOUT ME:
I am a Dutch woman obsessed with history, in RL I am a researcher.
Europe in the first half of the 20th century inspires me.
The objects I create are especially made for The 1920s Berlin Project sim where many of the tenants often have to live in small houses and bad neighbourhoods.
*SCALE:
I make things according to Prim Scale, a prim cube is 50cm x 50cm x 50cm.
Many avatars and Sims in SL have a totally unrealistic scale but more and more sims and shops are now using Prim Scale.
That means that the objects I make are made for realistic scaled avatars, if they seem too small to you, this probably is because you are rather big.
However, you can make my items bigger and adjust the animations to fit any size of avatar.
*THANKS:
Thank you Martin R.J Fayray for helping out with the script!
*INSTRUCTIONS
-Rezz the item by dragging it from your inventory onto the floor.
-Right click and select 'edit' to move it or rotate into the desired position.
-Use this same window to change the size by selecting stretch.
-Left click the rug to get the menu that allows you to pick the texture you like, there are 33 in total.
-Choose 'Delete script' to remove the script so it doesn't use up sim recourses.
*CHANGING THE OBJECT
-First make sure you keep at least one copy of the original, just in case you break it.
-Right click the rug and choose 'edit' from the menu, click the 'Content' tab in the edit window and drag a texture from your inventory there, you should now be able to pick this texture trough the menu.
-If you change the size, the land impact may change.
-Want more or less folds? Simply stretch the rug vertically.

*ABOUT MESH
If you make Mesh items bigger, they will usually start having a bigger land impact.
The item should look good but from a certain distance it may look distorted.
To make sure you see mesh in SL at well as possible, you may need to change the settings of your viewer.
This generally isn't needed but if you think that mesh distorts too often, you may try this;
-Set your LOD setting to 4, this should not have a huge impact on lag.
-LOD settings can be changed in the graphics settings.
Another thing you can do is this;
-Click ctrl+D to add the 'advanced' tab to the options at the top of your screen.
-Click 'show debug settings'
-In the Debug Settings look for 'MeshMaxConcurrentRequests' and increase the value, some people say you shouldn't go higher then 60 but I've set mine to 128 and have not noticed SL getting any worse.
Remember that playing around with debug settings is done at your own risk.
-Sometimes you can make the land impact go down by linking mesh with prims or other mesh items, but sometimes the land impact could go up.
