The innovations brought about by the arquebus helped to inspire the end of the dominance of heavily armored cavalry and infantry. Much like the crossbow, the arquebus was a simpler weapon to master than the longbow, meaning that even a peasant rabble so equipped could be a formidable force with minimal training.
This is my offering, unscripted as it is, to Second Life, hoping to inspire other, more talented builders to creating something to fill the gap I perceive in arms and armament. There's plenty of AK-47s and SCARS out there, guys. Let's get creative.
