Turns EVERYTHING into the decal

I had a spot I thought would look cute with a decal on it. I thought these would be perfect. NO! When you put it where you want it, it turns the whole wall/carpet/etc into these decals. I've gotten decals before and you can apply them onto walls, cabinets, etc., but they NEVER turned all my cabinets into the decal texture - just the spot I wanted the texture on. Deleted.
