This is probably a project I'm most proud of, and its very addicting. I've had people come by and watch it (literally) for over an hour.
The lightning is dynamic - none of the lightning bolts are pre-built or pre-designed. They are generated on the fly, just like in nature. All of the angles, forks, and even its color are chosen when that particular bolt is made. It has been optimized to be visually stunning, while still low lag.
Clouds and lightning look different during the day versus at midnight - it's a very interesting effect (and was completely unintentional, but I liked it)
The cloud is made of particles, and the lightning bolts are made of temp prims. Total actual prim count is only 1.
It's also really cool to use when doing photography in SL.

this is a very awesome lighting storm effect love it!! color change is wicked!! maker/seller was a pleasure to deal with! buy this item you will be very happy with it.. i put it at my haunted house and it make the perfict touch!!!
Doesn't Work
I just bought this item and thought it would be great to create some rain in my land, but it doesn't work. I reset scripts and all, but never saw one lightning and all I get is scripts errors.

I can not even say how much I love this. I love watching the lightening strikes it is truly mesmerizing way better than any other system of its kind. I love that they are different every time and that they are temp prims so I don't have to watch my prim count to close. I get to just sit back with friends and enjoy the show! You will not be disappointed!
Fangasmic!
One of the most realistic lightning clouds I've ever seen! It does a fantastic job of creating lightning with prims (temp rez so it doesn't even effect your prim count)
Looks much better than lightning that uses textures, and it is always a unique lightning strike! It has great effects to it, and is all around worth the linden!
Highly recommended.
