M'aiq longs for a Colovian Fur Helm. Practical, yet stylish. M'aiq is very sad he does not have one.
Colovian Fur Necessity
Let me start off by saying I haven’t fought a Daedric Prince yet — but if I do, I’ll be wearing this helm. I recently took a trip deep into the Jerall Mountains. The plan? Escort a pilgrim to the Cloud Ruler Temple ruins. Snow, wolves, bandits, the usual. My companions? A Redguard mercenary, an Imperial Legion deserter, and a very anxious Breton scribe. Me? Just a simple Colovian with a fur helm and a questionable grasp of “retirement.”
Everyone else brought elaborate steel helms, enchanted hoods, or gods-help-us, open-crown circlets. Not me. I packed light — a flask of sujamma, a travel cloak, and this beast of a Colovian fur helm. Simple, warm, and about as humble as a bear hug to the skull.
About two hours in, a blizzard hits. Visibility dropped to five feet. The scribe’s hood blew off and he started reciting his will. The Redguard’s helm froze to her braids. Me? Toasty. Cozy. Focused. At one point, a snow bear charged — I didn’t even draw steel. I lowered my head, and the helm took the brunt. The bear reconsidered. That’s the kind of presence this helm gives you.
At the summit, my companions were shivering under layers, praying to Dibella for warmth. I stood alone, fur-laced and frosty-bearded, looking out over the land like a forgotten king. The wind didn’t dare touch me. The helm had claimed the mountain.
Would I wear it to a royal ball? No. But to survive the unforgiving wilds with rugged dignity? Every damn time. Five stars. Get one.
It looks better in world!
The second picture doesn't look great but it was a freebie and frankly it is awesome. looks way better in SL.
