this is Auction Box, a free, totally full-perm (open source, you can pop it open and look inside) framework for running auctions in-world :)
Features:
- owner can click for a menu to set an auto buy amount, starting bid, and suggested increments for bidders
- people pay the object; if they're outbid, they are notified and paid back
- exceeding or meeting the auto buy amount automatically closes the auction, otherwise you can choose to close it yourself
room for expansion (not sure if i'll update it or not, but if i did, this is what i'd change):
- currently bid history IS stored but i don't have a function for you to view it
- currently setting the autobuy to zero prevents it from working but it doesn't change messages to reflect that there is no autobuy
- it would be cool to add a timer function that automatically ends the auction
i don't plan to integrate this directly with caspervend/allomancy so at the moment you still have to directly deliver things to your winner yourself, but that means you can use it for abstract things like IRL goods or commissions too
this does require debit permissions in order to pay back people who get outbid! please feel free to test it on your own beforehand to make sure everything works as you expect
using this for anything is fine as long as you don't try to resell my scripts for a profit
