I admit it gets some time, to get the hang of it, and can only thank you very much McLoven Iwish for the detailed help. Sure skydiving is different than the usual parachute but, when you get the hang of it, it's all fun and, IMHO, totally worths its price.
I would add only that "C" (or PageDown) not only opens the chute but, much more important, avoida you to splat on the ground, when landing: no C = splat, AFAIK. Use C right before landing, if you like to remain alive.
4 stars only 'cause, being an old item, it probably lacks the auto-update service (you'll get a pop-up about it, after wearing: it's safe to use it anyway).
Over 10 years later and the "Banzai!" Skydiving Rig has no equal!!
I've had myself over a decade to enjoy, exploit physics, and explore with this amazing parachute. I won't lie, the learning curve is a bit high with this one. However, the payoff in both RL realism, and entertainment is still unmatched in my eye. This parachute was developed by RL skydivers, in both its functionality and appearance. Additionally, if you catch me online and need help with your parachute, or just need a tandem for your next B.A.S.E. jump, I'm always up to fall.
To open the parachute: C or Page Down.
Once open: A/D or Left/Right Arrow to turn. (Turn longer than 5 seconds and you spiral.)
In spiral: Try to maintain your altitude and orientation when inside/outside of mouselook, the ground will sneak up on you!
To exit a spiral: Let go of A/D or the Arrow Keys. Your avatar will kick their leg out, your arms will fan out to the side. This is known as a "Swoop"

When your avatar swoops you can do a multitude of things while airborne to keep yourself that way. The sooner you tap C or Page Down after stopping a spiral the higher your parachute will glide once in horizontal flight. The "Banzai!" parachute can glide many sims in a single fall, as long as you don't stall the chute. Holding down Page Down or C too long means your parachute will deflate and you'll fall. The parachute can recover from this, but it takes several hundred meters of freefall.

If you like fun, just give it a try. Realistic and fun. although this is old I still don't find any other as fun and realistic as this. And be careful, if you don't have a good control of this you can break your bones in the fall! too much fun.
Best swoop parachute ever
I play that for long years until now I am playing alone in sl world...but just give 3 stairs because the owners not in world anymore I had all products but need to buy all in marketplace issues with script no redelivery in world.
