This updater is designed to be easy to use for both vendor and customer. I use it in my store too. As it is modify you can give it any shape, color or texture as you like. How does it work?
Let us say you have an item called "Brush". You made an update of "Brush" you want to make available to your customers, just create a box called "Update Brush", put the new "Brush" inside, put this box into the updater and it is done.
The customer, clicking the updater, can either get update instructions or start the update.
Update instructions:
This is sending via IM the list of updates (automatically the list of update items) and a notecard with instructions how to do an update, this notecard (in English) is already inside the updater and can be changed or translated by you.
Start the update:
When this is activated, the customer can drop his item "Brush" into the updater, if it is from the same creator as "Update Brush", he gets this box delivered and his old version is deleted. If he drops a wrong item he gets it back.
You see, very easy, but works for transfer items only and the update box must be of the same creator than the original item. This is checked for security reasons. Note that you have to give the box the same permission as the item. The update box must start with the name update, 1 blank and the items name.
As a vendor (owner of the updater) you can get a status report of the update items or change the color of the hovertext.
Updates will be send automatically.
