It works for me! The textures looks amazing and easy to work with... Besides, if you do not like the shadows that comes with it simply transparent it. No, there's no map but you can still edit and add your own textures. Considering it's only 10L I think this is a bargain!!
MP vs Inworld Store - Buying Sight Unseen, Not Always Wise
I purchased the set in hopes of using it to create a store reception / counter area in my second store location. It is limited on prim so this seemed to be the perfect set to pick and choose pieces from. Sadly, each piece ranges from 4 LI to 10 LI, note that the 12 in the prim count on the listing is misleading. Each is also rather large thus down scaling is needed. Don't count on that scaling also trimming LI off because it really doesn't. Overall it is a disappointment that I won't be able to use it for the reason purchased.
Note here too that there are no textures, no ambient occlusion, no shadow maps, no nothing. Only the mesh objects. Normally that would be okay but to maintain the level of detail (THERE IS GREAT DETAIL IN THE AS PURCHASED MODELS) you would definitely need a guide to follow or to create your own. Since I'm not able to create my own mappings, I' m left to do what I can with what I have and what I know. OH, there is a floor and wall shadow built into the texturings so that does create a problem if you want to use them in an area not against the wall and use them as is. Otherwise the retexturing will fix that,
I'm not unhappy with the purchase mind you, I'm just disappointed that I purchased something sight unseen based on what an individual listed as truth on MP.
To the creator ... do you have an inworld store? There's a store you have that I really like from the advertisement but will not spend the linden on it without seeing it first :)
There ya go folks ... great design, a little primmy and yeah knowing what I know now I'd still purchase from this creator IF there is an inworld store I can visit to view the items first hand.
