Not very pretty, and why mesh?
There is no reason for this to be mesh, if it were sculpted it would be about 5 prims and resizeable. Hard to say what I don't like about it, technically it is ok but when I rezzed it, it left me flat. The water textures aren't great, and the over all effect just isn't pretty enough to motivate me to change them... plus the water isn't high LOD and it distorts. Big landscape items like this you would expect to be more stable.
