Often called "flush-decks", and "four-pipers", the Wickes and sister classes were the quintessential destroyers from the end of WWI, and even into the early parts of WWII, and represented the pinnacle of interwar destroyer technology in the United States. At the outbreak of WWII, many of these interwar destroyers were retained in the US Navy, while many more were sent to Great Britain and the Soviet Union, where they served with distinction until the end of the war.
This vehicle features working guns, torpedoes, depth charges, and AA guns, as well as functional active sonar, which can illuminate ICS submarines made by Bethune Iron Works that are in range.
This product is 1:5 scale, to better fit within SL's shallow waters and small sims, and is fully combat capable, using the ICS3.1 Combat System. It supports both full scale avatars, and micro avatars (using the NotSoBIGAVS micro HUD/Steamboat micros).
