The Balut Runway HUD was created by a SecondLife model to meet the unique needs of fashion models working on runways. It combines a walk replacer and pose player into one item. It takes the drudgery and error proneness out of working the runway, allowing you instead to focus your energy on expressing your creativity and taking your runway routines to a higher level. Its features and versatility are unmatched by any similar product. Although the HUD has a large number of features, its basic operation is very simple.

It includes an animation over-rider (AO) that allows you to pick from up to 20 walks and 20 default stands. Once you select the default walk and stand, the avatar will walk the walk, and once stopped, will immediately assume the default stand. You can easily change to a different walk and default stand with the click of a couple buttons on the HUD. You could conceivably use the HUD as just a walk replacer and / or a default stand player. Because the AO has been trimmed down to just what is required for runway work, it is much leaner and less lag producing than most other walk replacers in use.

But the heart of runway modeling is to be able to strike a pose or a sequence of poses. The HUD allows you to easily set up poses to be played at the click of a button or by using the keyboard. Sequences of two or more poses can also be set up and played in the same way with the click of one button. Pose sequences like this can be played manually, giving you total control of the time. A timer can be set up to announce the elapsed time on a regular basis. Using the autoplay feature, you can also let the computer play through the sequence automatically. In autoplay, press one button on the HUD and watch your avatar flow through a sequences of poses.
