The cruising HUD for The Mesh Shop's Bandit 60.

The Bandit 60 is a boat that likes to sail itself - it trims its own sheets and even chooses its own headsail. The B60 HUD is built around that character: everything you actually need on a cruise, one tap away, and nothing fighting the boat for control.

ONE-TAP RIG

Click Main and you're sailing: the boat floats off its mooring, the genoa hoists and the mainsail goes up, all from a single press. Click it again and the rig comes down and the autopilot stands off. No command memorising, no gesture setup, no chat typing.

WIND THAT FOLLOWS YOUR BOW

Tap the wind arc to set the wind angle relative to your bow - beam reach to dead run - and tap the speed column for strength (8 to 25 knots). The HUD holds your chosen angle as you turn, updating the boat's wind automatically, so your sails stay full on every heading. Wind commands go straight to your boat and only when something actually changes: nothing in local chat, no spam for the raft-up next door.

THE HEADSAIL LOOP GUARD

Every Bandit 60 skipper discovers the swap zone eventually: park the apparent wind near 135 degrees and the autopilot flip-flops endlessly between genoa and spinnaker. The B60 HUD is the cure. The crossover is marked on the wind arc and the HUD refuses to hold a setting inside it, steering the boat's wind clear of the trap. If a swap loop develops anyway, the HUD spots the signature and releases the autopilot before the boat ties itself in knots - and tells you why in chat.

TWO CAMERAS ON ONE BUTTON

Short-press Track for a birds-eye docking view - read your hull against the pier instead of guessing. Long-press for the follow-cam, an elevated chase view riding high behind the rig: the cinematic cruising perspective. Both survive region crossings and re-assert themselves if the boat argues about it.

DECK GEAR AND TELEMETRY

Anchor, fenders (with the Bandit's full position cycle) and bimini each get a button, alongside engine start/stop and one-tap mooring. Live hover text shows speed, heading, heel, your set wind angle, the apparent wind the boat is actually feeling, and autopilot state - updated every second from the included broadcast script.
