An elegant Parisian coffee service circa 1780
The large solid silver coffee pot, shaped like an urn and supported by a tripod of lion masks and clawed feet, is crowned with foliage in the form of leaves and coffee beans. It is fitted with an ebony handle and a spout for serving the hot beverage.
The porcelain set features a “Barbeaux et Perles” model designed by Sèvres in 1781 to serve Queen Marie Antoinette at the Trianon.
It includes individual cups and saucers (dispensed with a click on the interactive coffee pot),
a cup and saucer for rez (also interactive),
an oval tray (to serve cookies and other desserts),
and a sugar bowl with its own tray.
All faithfully following original Sèvres designs.
