What is so special about this home?
This house has two intersecting roofs ('Kreuzdach') which fit precisely, with no gaps and no 'glue prims'. Creating this kind of roof was quite a challenge. The size and the position of all parts had to be perfectly pre-calculated and put into place later. The very special shape of the roof creates a large inner room, like in a cathedral, with the highest ceiling in the very center. A truly amazing place to live.

Why is the beach house named 'Borkum'?
Borkum is the eighth-largest island of Germany, located in the Wadden Sea National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage. The island is well known for its healthy, mild climate, vast sand dunes and beaches, distinctive houses, and the healing mud baths. Historically, Borkum was once a refuge for pirates in the 14th century. In the year 1900, the world's first official coastal radio service was launched on the island. Today, Borkum is a place for tourists seeking healthy, relaxing and environment-friendly holidays.

Why a beach home with no bamboo?
The answer is simple, because it doesn't naturally grow in Europe. Instead traditional Northern German beach houses are made of turves, clay and wood. Today's houses also use stone, concrete and steel.

Do You have a smaller sized version for tiny avatars?
No extra version needed. This home can be resized to as small as 2.5m x 3.5m, hence 1/10th of original size. Just mark all pieces and resize to the desired size.
