So I picked this up to texture it for someone. It's a good start, but definitely needs some more fleshing out. It would've been better with the snout and head being more..put together rather than seaming like two different meshes linked together. The layout of textures for uv's makes it so you have to upload quite a few textures, when it really could've been condensed better.
I also would say it would've been nice to have a version with the jaw actually apart of the mesh- meshed together into one piece, instead of seperate because in certain angles it just doesn't look like it's meant to be attached where it is. No amount of fussing with it really fixes that. The inside of the mouth is basically a flat plane, and has no real shape to it. The tongue isn't much better, and as a result of the way the inside of the mouth is, you can't make the appearance of it being darker into the mouth into the gullet for more realistic textures, because the back of the mouth is not there.
The teeth and jaw ripples are done pretty well, and the overall 'shape' is decent. It's got a good starter point, but I definitely think the way it looks from being essentially three pieces shoved together could use some work. The mesh isn't cleaned up at all either, so if you're a stickler for polygons you wear, that's another thing.
I definitely wouldn't recommend texturing it again in it's current state, or wearing it on the regular because of these faults. If the creator fixes these issues I'd be happy to change my review.
