Hey why not ride a cow? This is a wonderful Jersey Cow to ride through Second Life with; on trails, on Mars, in space, and the price is right! Why spend a zillion lindens on a critter when you can get a good, sturdy, adorable cow for zillions less.
Animated; walks, runs, random moo sounds, dust trail. she is wearable so just attach from inventory; you can teleport while riding her. Saddles are available in the shop. Just attach the cow from inventory, then attach the saddle from inventory and you are all set to ride into any adventure!

Checked it out, there are animations but the animations for what the cow does the legs move about every 5 seconds they do not bend. there are far better wearable livestock costing well under 50L, item should only cost 5L not 250L. Now I know better, the textures are not that bad tho
