*Note* If you like this object please consider buying it in the Louvre museum, thank you.

This console was a part of a table collection (round and square side tables, coffee table, and console) made in the 19th century in the style of Guillaume Benneman. As they are not designed to serve as a stand-alone surface, they were almost always kept against the wall with the mirror placed above.

In the past, the consoles were used for storing dishes and various foods that were placed there waiting to be served, before being replaced on the central table. The consoles are most often fixed to the wall. It is not a closed piece of furniture like the chest of drawers which is supported by four legs.

The marble top is replaceable, so you can have the marble texture of your choosing.

You can adjust the intensity of the shadows beneath the object by selecting the face of the shadow and lowering the transparency to your liking.
