(What you see in the pictures are actual objects to which the textures have been applied. There is no need to add shine effects to the gems! They look glossy and shiny with just the textures alone!)
You can use the textures on round-surface objects of any shape or size, not just oval objects! Included with this set is a linked object made of several different full perm oval cabochons with the textures already adjusted, which you can use in your own creations!

I have used these for a bunch of different things and am very happy with them. One of my stock textures now.

I purchased this pack thinking: "Ok, if these are alpha, here goes 100 Lindens on the wind!" (because I am a smart person and I don't fall for the 99 marketing strategy crap.)
So, when I open the pack, I was very relieved to find out my 100 Lindens were very well spent. These are NOT alpha. And they fit all types of cabochons for sale out there, beads, and anything else. If you cannot have the stone in sculptie, no problem: these will do the job. If you have, the texture still fits, provide you can set up the repetitions and offsets just right to give the effect you want.
All in all, an excellent purchase.
