Like a neat little garden next to your cottage? Need to role play a farm, self sustaining village or colony and green up the sim while conserving prims?
This Blackberry Patch is on a one prim form that has 15 plants in 3 x 5 rows and makes a convincing farm. It is modifiable and can be shrunk or resized up to fit any garden plot or provide a large ground cover.
One of the earliest known instances of blackberry consumption comes from the remains of the Haraldskær Woman, the naturally preserved bog body of a Danish woman dating from approximately 2,500 years ago. Forensic evidence found blackberries in her stomach contents, among other foods. The use of blackberries to make wines and cordials was documented in the London Pharmacopoeia in 1696.[8] As food, blackberries have a long history of use alongside other fruits to make pies, jellies and jams.[8]
Blackberry plants were used for traditional medicine by Greeks, other European peoples, and aboriginal Americans.[8] A 1771 document described brewing blackberry leaves, stem, and bark for stomach ulcers.[8]
Blackberry fruit, leaves, and stems have been used to dye fabrics and hair. Native Americans have even been known to use the stems to make rope. The shrubs have also been used for barriers around buildings, crops and livestock. The wild plants have sharp, thick prickles, which offered some protection against enemies and large animals.

Blackberry are an easy plant to grow, and can be grown almost anywhere in the world. The best thing to do is to buy a plant in early to middle spring. Place the plant preferably in full sun, and in somewhat sandy soil.
These are realistic looking mature fruit bearing plants ready for harvest. These plants are set on natural light, not bright.
I started landscaping on a history sim where 1/3 of the prims are reserved for tall ships and texture lag can sink a ship. Conserving prims, using low prim items, allows for more role play props to be rezzed. And using high quality, quick loading low lag textures make for convincing detail. Botanica Gardens is dedicated to providing the best low prim, low lag landscaping on the grid. After all, a prim saved is a prim earned.
Come see this and many other trees, flowers, and crops in my in-world garden.
