This pair of busts, one robot, one human, is about the interaction of human and machine. And about the way we, as second-life forms, are living beings evolved from technology. (Whereas in first life I understand that things are the other way round.) On another level, this piece is also a record of my experience as a sculptor on Second Life; my earlier statues were all robots, but from them have evolved more human figure studies.
