It's like adult lego! The walls and pillars are build to be 4 meters tall, and 1-2 meters wide, so they snap easily with sets by other creators like Isil's modular scifi room set. It's all built to tile as seamlessly as possible, but it also includes a handful of items that help fill the gaps if builders want to get creative! The set includes...

I don't like leaving bad reviews, but LOD is important. And you can't just tell people to crank Object Detail beyond maximum using debug settings because that that just makes SL's already poor framerates even worse.

At medium detail you want to maintain the basic shape of the object, it shouldn't completely disappear or turn into a handful of triangles. If you're not going to do the LOD yourself, I recommend Blender's "Decimate" modifier, it usually works a lot better than using the SL mesh uploader to generate LOD models.

Everything else is great. The modelling is great. The textures and materials look wonderful. I love the designs. It's a great aesthetic for a space colony or some sort of temporary/makeshift buildings at a sci-fi job site, or a sci-fi bunker. And we all know SL needs more tile set style building kits.

If the creator were to release an update fixing the LOD issues I'd be happy to change this review because everything else about this set really is great.

What you get in this kit is brilliant, I think it is good value for money, that being said it has not been as good for me as I hoped for, but I am not marking it down as this is due to my personal taste. The LOD impact is a bit strange. The walls are 1 LI each as sized when you get it, but when you link two together it shoots to 3 LI. I have resized mine a little giving 2 land impact each and when I linked 14 together that was 26 LI, so saved a couple of prims linking it. I am not sure what windlight they used to take the pics but I have tried loads of different windlights and I just can't get it to look anything like the pics, it still looks decent but not what I was hoping for.It is worth looking closely at the example prefabs included to see how they use different pieces. So overall a good kit just let down a little as it wasn't quite what I hoped for. Oh one more thing, I find some of the pieces break when you just get a short distance away, to counteract this you have to go to debug settings, look for renderdynamicLOD and change it from true to false. Changing renderVolumeLOD to 4 doesn't help with this. But of course for someone else looking at it that haven't changed any settings then it will still bork for them
