So I wanted to be surrounded by giant gemstones. Is that bad?

Here is a unique box from Full Perm Mesh. Unique because you get every piece in four LODs. Yes, I uploaded everything four times. Because I don’t know what you might want to use these gemstones for. So the highest LOD won’t collapse at a distance, but the lowest won’t break the prim-count bank if you want an emerald the size of a barn.

Highest LOD pieces are very small, since you’ll probably be using those for jewelry. I recommend rezzing these on a black surface so you don’t lose them.

High LOD pieces are about a meter.

Medium and Low LOD pieces are about two meters. The medium LOD pieces are the ones I have all over my workshop. So pretty, and the LOD holds up. Seriously, why can’t real life be like this?

Complete gemstones are a compound of two objects:

1. A mesh model with accurate faceting and custom texturing, set to 30% transparency.
2. The same model with the normals flipped, 0% transparency. This lets you see into the depths of the stone and see the texture reflected back.

You get the completed gemstones and the parts that make them up. Those with normals reversed are marked “io” for inside-out.

Every gemstone set comes full-depth, with the base and crown. They also come flat, with the base faceting flat beneath the crown. This preserves some of the reflective quality of the original stone. Then you get the Simple Flat, with the base faceting replaced with a simple plane. The Cabochons and Oval Cabochons are in the Simple Flat boxes.

This box has more than 500 objects. All the finished pictures show them with textures I bought on the marketplace.
