The lamp is scripted to give you complete control over the look. You can adjust the Intensity, glow, color and other settings too.
The object will say you have no mod permissions but you will still be able to resize it as it only applies to the scripts in the lamp.

Awesome mesh lamp
This lamp is beautiful. I've always had trouble finding a lamp that can really light up a room when the time is set to midnight. I'm glad my friend found this & got it for me.
