A Grand louis xvi sixteen arms bronze chandelier, decorated with quartz beans and Boheme rock Crystal flowers.
From the mid 18th century the chandeliers began to
incorporate glass, especially of Boheme, helping the
light provided by the prohibitively expensive candles
reflect through these crystals and illuminated the
whole room, this together with the gilded bronzes
made these lamps a product that only the wealthiest
classes could afford due to short supply and the high
skills required for the elavoration of the chandeliers.
Commanded for the chateau de Versailles at the end of the 18th century, It is currently emplaced at the Petit Trianon.

A script has been added so the lighting can be adjusted as desirable
+ Comes with a chandelier sock in cherry silk and
tassels, so the height can be adjusted and the chain
covered.
