Pots, Bucket (also colanders) worn on the head were used by Euromaidan participants as a response to the laws adopted on January 16, 2014 by the "Verkhovna Rada" (Head office of the government) of Ukraine and prohibiting the wearing of masks, helmets and other special equipment on the head while participating in rallies.
The situation with protesters wearing pots on their heads became, on the one hand, one of the symbols of Euromaidan, and on the other hand, created a precedent situation that gave rise to a sarcastic meme about “pot-headed” protesters.
Many Russian media and publicists are still trying to ridicule this, downplaying the significance of the historical fact of the Heroism of the people of Ukraine.
This souvenir hat, in the form of a bucket, personifies the pride and heroism of the events of 2014. when the Ukrainian people were able to overthrow the deceitful President Yanukovych.
