The Bug shuttle is a purpose-designed shuttlecraft designed specifically to integrate with the main hull of the 04 Transport spacecraft, however, due to many '04s now having been scrapped, many of these shuttles have made it onto the used market, with weight saved by removing the docking clamp servos and extensive seals that allowed them to dock with their '04s. This makes the ship lighter, but sacrifices any ability to dock with a 04. However, due to their nature as solid workhorses for short range interplanetary hops, these shuttles have seen a lot of use in private hands. Being able to carry a pilot, copilot and four passengers, they also see great use as moon-hopping taxis.
