*** NOTICE - PLEASE READ ***
The Buildbox is a full permissions object. However, the script inside is no modify.
PLEASE NOTE: THE DELIVERY BOX IS NO TRANSFER. ONCE YOU UNPACK IT, IT WILL SHOW UP AS THE CORRECT PERMISSIONS IN YOUR INVENTORY. The delivery box is no transfer so you don't steal the packaging and send it to someone; once unpacked, the contents will show up as the correct permissions in your inventory.
IF YOU EXPERIENCE ANY PERMISSIONS ERRORS, SUCH AS THE BUILDBOX ITSELF BECOMING NO TRANSFER, PLEASE CONTACT US FOR ASSISTANCE.
The Buildbox should appear in your inventory as (no modify), due to the script inside. It is full permissions. If it appears as (no transfer), you most likely added a no transfer object. However, occasionally SL will apply no transfer on objects for no reason - this is a server bug which we have no control over. If this is the case, we will redeliver, or you can simply re-purchase since it is free.
---
The Buildbox is a new way to package your large builds with practically zero effort. The entire setup is guided and simple - just drag scripts into each object, take them, then put them in the box. The Buildbox will automatically check to make sure you've picked everything up and inserted it into the box. Once it rezzes, it will also make sure everything has rezzed and is positioned correctly.
There's no complicated "finalization" process - you can go back and add things, or remove things once you've started packaging it. Since the Buildbox is free, you won't have to remove scripts or otherwise cripple it before you send it out.
Most importantly, the Buildbox has a special "build ID" system that allows you to create multiple copies of a building while avoiding crosstalk issues. This is used in our IntelliDoor products and our Condor Elevator. If you're using either of these, you should definitely use a Buildbox to package your buildings!
Since this is a free item, we only offer limited support, but you can still contact us if you have any ideas or suggestions to better the system. Although the box is full permissions, because this is a free product, the scripts are no mod and cannot be put into your own objects.
- Package your builds and distribute them with almost zero effort
- Clear visual indication of packaging steps on the box
- Robust rezzing mechanism ensures full build is always rezzed correctly
- Integrates with IntelliDoors and Elevators with unique “build ID” feature
Just a Few things Wrong...
Real Issues :
1. The forced texture, means the Rezzer can't be an attached prim in the build, like a Lamp.
(because it keeps forcing weird texture and colors with no option to disable that.)
2. It keeps making parts No-Mod even though all parts were placed in it as +Mod !
(this means when you give it to someone, they can't update the parts !)
Creator explained it is a BUG in SL. Since it is free, You should give people option to help make it better by offering code in github maybe.
Technically scripts should not be able to change perms on prims !
But this bug makes it completely useless for shared team development.
Thank You for trying !
I've had one major problem.
First, what I like. I build houses consisting of well over 100 linksets. With the Casper rezzer system, you add a script to each item or linkset, touch the rezzer, and take it into inventory. If you forget to touch the rezzer, when rezzing it just plops the item under the rezzer. Then you must reposition this item, insert the script, touch the rezzer, etc.
With this Buildbox rezzer, you insert the script and take the item. Easy peasy. That part is great.
Now, what I don't like, especially because my builds are complicated. When I had added all of my building components to the Buildbox, it did not turn green to tell me it was complete as it is supposed to. It stayed yellow, which means that I was still waiting for inventory. I clicked the box and it told me it was waiting for "Rebin Walls". Well, that is the name of the main wall linkset for this entire house. I checked the contents of the box and there it was, Rebin Walls. I dragged Rebin Walls out of the box and onto the ground. The contents had the necessary slave script in it. So what was it looking for?
Now, normally, whenever encountering an odd rezzer problem, I would re-rez the house to sort things out. I could not rez the house. There is no way to do it. It tells you to take a coalesced object of what you're trying to pack, but doing that with a house has rarely worked for me. The worst part of all is that to sell the customer a build containing the Delta elevator properly configured, the Buildbox MUST be used. Caspers Rez2 system will not retain the elevator's configuration.
I have also had issues where the Buildbox told me it was looking for something not part of my build, such as "object" and "object 208". I never have anything named "object". I have preferences set so that whenever I rez a prim, it is named "Cooter's Prim". That helps in a sandbox.
What the Buildbox needs is the ability to rez what is in the box without all of the inventory it needs for completion.
Free for a reason--completely useless
it deletes scripts as soon as you put them in the target object. totally useless
i have tried every stupid rezzer out there and NONE of them work as specified. if you want to use this rezzer, you have to have this stupid bright red box sitting out, which...its ugly af and no one wants that. also lacks menus, so if you really want to use this in a role play manner, you have to have a bunch of these ugly a*s things out, which NO ONE WANTS
anyway, it's free for a reason. just another dumb thing to clog up your inventory
Thank you!
I got this for my alt a long time ago and now I have it on this one. This packager is really a lifesaver. Thank you so much!
