This product is designed to be laid down in various areas around a sim, usually in rural areas such as meadows, grasslands. It's also great for curated gardens... anywhere you want to bring a bit of life and motion to your world.
INSTRUCTIONS

Simply rez the Butterfly Emitter in your simulation. It will appear as a large gray cylinder. Don't let that worry you: not only can you scale it with the right-click edit menu, but once you've got it all situated, you can hide it from its internal dialog system-- which is accessed by the owner simply by clicking on the object (whether it is visible or hidden.)
If a non-owner clicks the Butterfly Emitter, the emitter will immediately spawn a butterfly. More clicks equals more butterflies. Since they're "temporary objects," they'll wink out of existence after a short time. No need to worry that your garden will be bogged down with immortal butterflies!

As I've already mentioned the internal dialog system, go ahead and explore it. Under the "Breeds..." subsection, you can pick and choose which of the nine butterflies can spawn randomly. Just check the ones you want!
Emit...

Unlike everyone else, you-- as the owner-- can pick and choose which butterflies you'd like to generate right that second. Create a swarm of Cabbage Butterflies, if that is your want!
Radius...
----------
If you've got a large garden and don't want to lay down a lot of emitters, simply extend the spawn radius of your butterflies. Want your avatar to appear to be the butterflies' center of attention. Attach the Butterfly Emitter to your your body and set the radius to a meter or less. You'll be amused by the results!
ZOffset...

This allows you to offset the height at which the butterflies are generated. A height of 2 meters seems good to me, but your sensibilities may differ, depending on your own predilections. I care not. Live free.
Timer...
---------
The Butterfly Emitter, no matter what your timer's settings, should never be able to bog down your sim. Feel free to leave it at 15-30 seconds if you want to have steady stream of butterflies to enjoy. If that's still not enough for you, throw down another emitter.

So cute I want to scream!
I am trying to put together a farm simulation-- something nice and pastoral. It was pretty, but looked like a picture. I needed something to bring it to life... butterflies were just what I wanted. I placed a few emitters around and now the sim feels alive, even when it's just me strolling through the fields. I love this!!!!
And I just realized I could wear the butterfly emitter as I stroll around. Kawaii!!!! =<';'>=
