It's a RLVa based gadget that changes activated group automatically relative to region according to the rules in config notecard so that you don't have to do it manually to save you a lot of time and effort.
HOW TO USE IT
Enable RLVa
In Firestorm viewer menu: Avatar >> Preferences >> Firstorm>>√Allow Remote Scripted Viewer Controls (RLVa).
Add(or Wear) it,
right click it in Inventory,
select "Edit",
select "Content",
open "[Rule]" notecard,
write one rule "region name=group name" case-insensitively in each line, e.g.,
Pantano=.: Sunset Beach :.
Oyster Bay=L I C K
Aisling Myst=Silurum
Save, if you see "Auto Group Changer active", there you go!
Tips
1)You can use "*=group name" to set a default group which will be activated in the regions that are not configured.
2)You can re-wear or right click it in Inventory, select "Touch" to refresh group change.
3)You can copy its content files into your other attaching(wearing) object to create a device or HUD which can be touched to refresh group change.
4)When type "#" at the beginning of a rule in config notecard, the rule will be ignored.
5)You can use group key instead of group name in config notecard.
Notes
1)Don't omit space in Group name, i.e., " " or " ", e.g., "L I C K ".
2)If group name contains "=", it may fail due to a system bug. In that case, use group key instead.
- Auto change active group
- Custom rules configured by notecard
- Re-wear or touch it to refresh
Great Concept but...
Does not work every time. I have like 8 sims on it and it only changes like 3 of them. And its not my settings because I can take it off and put back on reset scripts and sometimes the other sims will work and not the ones that were working. Very unreliable. If I have to change my group on half of them may as well not use it.
I've had this 5 seconds and I LOVE IT
No more worrying about group tags. Easy notecard set up (read the instructions first!)
