For Cyberpunk and Retro-Future Enthusiasts comes the first item from CBL Products: Cyberdeck. Inspired by the item from the works of William Gibson, this Cyberdeck pack is a must for those who are fans of the Sprawl trilogy or the Cyberpunk genre. The design is inspired by the technology from the 1980s, when the groundbreaking Neuromancer made it's debut.
In the box set, you receive three items:
1. A Wearable/Decor Version of the Cyberdeck
2. An Internet Accessible Version of the Cyberdeck
3. A Wearable Trodes Unit to attach to your avatar's forehead.
You're getting three items for the price of one. This item is designed for those who want to play Keyboard Cowboy in any of the Second Life Cyberpunk RPs and for your own desktop at home. Each Cyberdeck in the pack is 7LI and the Trodes are 2 LI.
NOTE: Due to the script used for the web browser, only one person will be able to view the content on the screen while others may not be able to share the same view.
We hope you enjoy the Cyberdeck from CBL Products, providing consumer products and collectibles since February 15, 2017. Have a great day!

So excited!
“The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel.”
Just started hanging around in a CP RP sim, I am certainly going for the more punky side of cyberpunk. I am playing as a console cowgirl and so when I came on the marketplace and saw this I quite honestly nearly wet myself.
Not sure I've ever actually seen imagery for the Sendai but your imagining of it.. well reached into my brain, through all the memory banks, and pulled out my visual image of it from the very first time I read Neuromancer... This is kind of weird as my mental image of it has evolved over the years and exposure to more source material (both fictional and technical).
At that time however the sources for what a cyberdeck would look like... well Atari, Commadore64 etc.
I think this totally nails the look that Gibson would have had in mind.
In terms of SL products, it's not the prettiest, the media prim isn't really necessary, the item name should be "Ono Sendai - Cyberspace 7" for the whispers, and a scrunchy sound fx wouldn't go amiss...(my list of things to do myself)... That being said it's still perfect ^.^
And yes I have been banging on about this to everyone I've met since acquiring it. Both in character and out people have been learning (forcibly ;)) about the first true deckers of the world I play and how this "replica" represents a great moment in history (in character) and about the novel "Neuromancer", Gibson and the origins of the Cyberpunk genre (out of character).
I could gush for so much longer :) But suffice to say you've made both me and the character I play in the roleplay very happy :)
