I had witnessed many strange wonders during my travels with my mentor, Sharian, but this was one of the most perplexing.

At first glance, it appeared to be a many-sided die—twenty sides, I counted—suspended and slowly rotating within a faceted crystal. Arcane energy shimmered around it, and the crystal itself rested upon an ornate base carved with two intertwined serpents.

Curious, I reached toward it. Instantly, the die inside spun of its own accord and came to rest with an audible hum. Then, as if speaking directly into my mind, it delivered a cryptic message tied to the number it had landed on. I blinked, confused, and turned to Sharian for explanation.

He merely chuckled, stroking his beard as if I had asked a question with an obvious answer.
"Tell me, lad," he said with a glint in his eye,
"have you ever considered that we might be—how did a sage from some distant realm put it?—a butterfly’s dream? Or perhaps… just characters in someone’s tabletop campaign?"

Instructions:

The D20 crystal has two touch interactions:

-A short touch interaction by the owner, or anyone else on the main crystal encasing the die will activate a die roll on the d20, which will give a corresponding result from the notecard inside it (a sample Wisdom Rolls notecard is included)

- A long click on the rock base by the owner will activate the settings menu, where the owner can customize color, sound, particles and more.

D20 NOTECARD:

-You can substitute the sample notecard with any sample of your own. The D20 die will read the notecard and assign each line to a roll number. Thus line 1 will match a roll of 1, and so on. The sample notecard is numbered for convenience, but your own custom notecards do not need to be numbered too, as the reader will also read the numbering. Do not use spaces between each line. Anyone can get a roll from the die.
The roll results will be whispered or sent directly to the avatar touching the crystal, depending on the settings.

The die roller will only read the first notecard that starts with the name D20_Quotes xxxxxxxxxx inside it. Thus you can have several notecards in your inventory with fitting descriptive names and load them into the main crystal. Example names:

SETTINGS:

COLOR ALL.- Submenu where you can choose the color of the crystals, and twinkles/energy sprites. You can choose from 9 different gem colors, Air, Water, Fire, Earth, Amethyst, Citrine, Obsidian, Quartz and Rose Quartz.

CRYSTALS: Submenu where you can choose the color of the crystals.

EMISSIVE: PBR only menu, you can choose a different emissive color for the crystals. This menu settings will not be visible in non PBR enabled viewers

TWNKLCLR: You can choose the color of the twinkles and energy ribbon effects. You can choose from 10 different colors,; red, orange, yellow, green, teal, blue, purple, pink, white and black.

EMISSIVE: On/Off Switch for the Crystals Emissive effect

TWINKLES: On/Off Switch for the twinkles and energy ribbons effect

PARTSCLR: Submenu to choose the particle color during the die roll. You can choose from 10 different colors,; red, orange, yellow, green, teal, blue, purple, pink, white and black.

WHISPER: When On the die roll results will be whispered in local chat, when off the die results will be sent privately to the roller through RegionSayTo (private direct message).

SOUND: On/Off Switch for the die roll effects

PARTICLES: On/Off Switch for the die roll particle effects.

ScriptDel: Will delete the control scripts, but not the die roller script. Though the Script Delete menu includes a DelSunCheck option, day/night automation is not included in the final version to reduce script load.

Close: Will close the settings submenu and set the settings controls to sleep. The D20 will also go automatically to sleep after 2 minutes without receiving a settings command.
