The Artisan is a true labor of love. It has been designed and built from the ground up by Paige Raven and myself. No blueprints were harmed during the making of this house.
Its is designed to be as true to the old Craftsman style as is possible within the limits and standards of Second Life. You will notice lots of long straight lines, and squared edges all throughout the house. Why? Think about it. When the Craftsman style originated, there were no handy power tools and fancy mouldings to buy at Lowe's. They worked with what they had: Two hands, a hammer and a saw. But we did try to update the house while staying true to the original concept.
The house itself is one bedroom, one bath, and a semi-open floor plan. It has a 41 x 31 m footprint, so you will need at least 1408m of land. You can stop by the display in world and pick up a free footprint template to test on your land.
It weighs in at 129 land impact, which may seem high for such a small house; but, once you see all the incredible detail in this house, you will understand. The house is copy and mod, some of the scripts are no modify, which will alter the permissions you see in your inventory.
