This classic fountain by Rodas Fine Quality products was created using the most suitable materials and beautiful textures available and features scripted cascading water as well as particle founts. The sound of gently bubbling water can be toggled on/off. This purchase includes the urn fountain and pool base only, however if required, the sandstone terrace base the fountain sets upon in the photo is available for purchase separately at our inworld store.

Fountains (from the Latin ("genitive "fontis"), a source or spring) were originally purely functional, connected to springs or aqueducts and used to provide water for drinking, bathing, and washing to the residents of cities, towns and villages. The very earliest fountains were found amongst ancient ruins that dated back to 2000 BC. In addition to providing drinking water, fountains were used for decoration and to celebrate remarkable persons, heroes, noble animals, events, or to create an oasis to cool down in the hot summer. While most fountains were consistently created from stone, marble or bronze, the designs themselves varied widely from practical basins to grandly ornate monuments. The movement of water itself beautifying each one whether by gently rippling, or cascading and dancing, and reaching into the sky.
