This is a FULL PERMISSIONS version of the picture frame.

End-user license: Oh, you know the drill. Don't sell this thing with full permissions; otherwise, have at it!

Includes the textures and object mesh. (Some of the textures are inside the object's inventory. Take those out before selling this thing. Also note that "Fabric Linen" is the Linden Lab texture that you will find in your inventory; that's what I put on the back to look like canvas.)

CMcA Picture Frame - Style 2, with Wall Shadow
by Camden McAndrews

This mesh object combines 3 prims into one mesh object: (1) the picture prim,
(2) the wooden frame, and (3) the wall shadow.

It's Mod / Copy / No-Transfer so you can use as many as you need and edit copies without
fear of messing up the original.

The package includes a full-permissions picture-changer script and all these instructions.

How to use the frame:

1. Rez the frame on your wall and position as necessary

2. Drag your own picture texture onto the picture area
(or edit the object, enable Select Face, select the face, find your texture in the texture finder)

3. Enjoy!

The painting it comes with is "HMS Pomone" by John Alcott. The artwork is in the public
domain. It depicts a scene from 1807 when the British ship HMS Pomone engaged
in a long stern chase after a French ship, which it eventually captured. The original painting
hangs in the Australian Maritime Museum.

Now, let's go over all the other things you can do with this picture frame.

Picture Changer Script

I didn't put a picture changer script in the object, but I did include a full-permissions
picture changer script in the package. If you add this script, you can load up your
picture frame with a bunch of your favorite pictures and step through them in sequence.
The picture will change each time you touch (left-click) the object.

Note: The painting is on face 2 of the object. The script is already coded to put your
pictures on face 2.

Here's how to use the picture changer script:

1. Edit the object. Go to the Contents tab.

2. Drag the script "Crystal's Picture Changer - Touch, Sequential" from your
inventory into the object contents.

3. Drag your favorite pictures into the object contents.

4. You're done! Exit from edit and left-click on the picture any time you want
to change the texture. It will step through your pictures in sequential order.

Just add or delete pictures from the object's content any time you want to change
the set.

The pictures show up in alphabetical order. You can rename them to change
the order; maybe add a number at the beginning of each picture's name.

Resizing the frame:

Out of the box, the picture is 2 meters wide X 1.5 meters tall. Aspect ratio: 4:3.
This works well for most in-world snapshots.

You can stretch the frame in all dimensions, up the point that the sides of the frame start
to look funny. You'll need very basic object editing skills to do this. The shadow will
stretch along with the frame; it's all one mesh object, so just treat it like a prim.

Changing the Wood Texture

Have a wood texture you might like better? Just drag it onto any face of the wooden
frame. (Or Edit > Select Face > select the face > find your texture in your inventory.)

There are two wood faces: One is the front face, and the other is all the other bits
of wood in the frame.

Shadow Too Light or Too Dark?

You can change how dark the wall shadow is by adjusting its transparency. It will be
25% transparent right out of the box.

If you have a shadow texture you like better, you can just edit the face that has the
shadow. (Note that the shadow is not visible from the back; there are no faces or
polygons back there.)

Back of the Painting

I just used the "Fabric Linen" texture right out of the Library on the back. You won't
even see it once the picture is on the wall, but what the heck; it looks like canvas.
I added a dark gray tint since that spot will be shadowed al the time.

Changing that fabric texture is a little tricky; it hides behind the plane that has the
shadow texture. To get to that face, Edit > Select Face > shift-select the shadow,
wood (2 faces), and front of the painting. That will leave the back face of the painting
selected so you can replace the texture with your image of the Da Vinci code.

I hope you enjoy your picture frame! Thanks so much for buying my stuff!

Wishing you all the best in this and every life,

Camden McAndrews
