Part of our heritage range, the Ballinger & Hallard French Louis XV Combined Crown Set contains 7 main items. The full Fleur-de-leis Crown (256prims), a coronet version of that Crown (203 prims), a circlet version of that Crown (176 prims) as well as the Gold Enamelled Crown of Louis XV (138 prims). Additionally there are 2 state portraits of Kings Louis XIV and XV (the latter shows the enamelled crown) and the French Royal Standard. A pose stand is also included.
The B&H Crowns have been carefully modeled on the two rl items made for the coronation in 1723 of King Louis XV. Originally in rl the fleur-de-leis crown contained a number of famous diamonds including the Regent (the largest at 141 carats), the Sancy and the mazarin. This crown survived the French Revolution and the collapse of the 3rd Empire and may now been seen at the Louvre. Its famous diamonds though have been removed and are displayed elsewhere.
The other main Crown in the combined set was of a simpler design, being gold enamelled with a number of semi precious stones set round the circlet. It did not however survive the French Revolution.
The Crowns, Coronet and Circlet have resizer controls via a touch menu. All may be varied in size to +10% or -12% of original purchase size. 3way sparkle control is provided for the gems in the fleur-de-leis Crown, circlet and coronet.
These crowns may also be purchased in separate smaller sets.
Crowns may also be inspected and/or purchased 'in world' at the B&H showroom in the Antiki-Taki (antiques, art deco and much more) main Store, Marietta (bottom floor).
