CR Cactus - Astrophytum Super Kabuto

Sand dollars are native to Texas and popular specimens among collectors in the know. Astrophytum asterias, to give them there scientific name, are compact, globular, cactus that have been hybridized for their interesting and unique patterns that reward their owners with cheerful yellow flowers in the summer. This particular hybrid is from Japan, where growers have bred them to have more exaggerated areoles (the hairy bits) .

The plant may be de-linked from its terracotta pot to be placed in the ground.
