(Male Cage Avatar Note)
Welcome to MeshAvatars!
And welcome to a wonderful world of magical new avatars! The ability to rig mesh avatars to the basic SL armature (skeleton) means the future of the SL avatar is limited only by the imagination. In the future, custom skeletons will be available, but look what you can do to a basic biped! Some great features:
—Full-body mesh avatars mount to a single attachment point, leaving all others free.
—Mesh avatars can have a contiguous "skin," unbroken at the joints and flexing naturally.
—Mesh avatars can be enhanced by other attachments, or by partial use of alpha layers that allow other avatar features to show through.
Features of this avatar:
—Comes with a total alpha layer. Put this on first and remove any hair or other prim attachments, then wear the avatar.
—Attaches to the Upper Left Leg. I couldn't think of a less-used attachment. If, however, you need that attachment, you can select a different attachment point.
—Responds to the scale sliders in Appearance Editing.
—Includes a detachable apple in place of a heart. A bit quirky, so if you don't like it, don't wear it.
—Fully modifyable and copyable! Make as many as you like, with whatever textures, glow, etc., you may want.
To edit your mesh avatar:
—You can do a lot of editing while wearing your avatar. However, if you encounter some editing you cannot do while the avatar is worn, simply rez your avatar in-world as a standalone mesh, do your editing, and take the mesh avatar back into your inventory and Wear from there.
—Note that if you are in a sim with a high prim count you may need to go to a sandbox to edit your avatar.
We hope you enjoy your new mesh avatar. We look forward to the creative adventure that is mesh!
