**IMPORTANT NOTE** This is not a complete TARDIS Console room.

For owners of the HoO Smith II (Day of the Doctor) who want some free parts to modify their TARDIS to the awesome Capaldi version!

This build uses mesh and requires some editing of your Hands of Omega SMITH II (Day of the Doctor) TARDIS interior. The HoO API will be required in order for the lighting effects to function.

The Capaldi Care Package is a collection of mesh objects and script that will convert a Hands of Omega Smith II console to a reasonable representation of a Capaldi console. The prerequisites are that you own an HoO Smith II console and also the HoO API package. The API package is required in order to make the scripted lighting effects work. You’ll also have to have left the original Smith II rezzer in place, or at least know what it’s coordinates were, as the Capaldi Care Package rezzer has to be placed at exactly the same location and rotation in order to place the new parts in their proper places.

The Smith II console consists of a number of linksets with a total land impact of 431 LI. After removing the prims that we will replace, the LI drops to 416. After adding the two Capaldi Care Package linksets, the total LI will be 461 including the Capaldi Care Package HoO API box and the Capaldi Care Package Rezzer.

Prerequisites

1) HoO Smith II console (from HoO, the folder name is “Console Room – DayOfTheDoctorSmith”). The name of the rezzer package is “:Smith2”. You may buy it in the marketplace or at the inworld store. In the store, it is in the section that says “TT Capsules Canon Recreations”. The display says “Matt Smith Console Room”. There are two. Make sure you get the right one. If you hover over it, the text says “Console Room, Cannon – Day of the Doctor Smith”. Currently, the price is $3,000L.

2) HoO API package (from HoO, the folder name is “Addon Console Room API Box”). This item may only be available in world. In the store, it is in the section that says “Accessories Enhancements for your TT Capsule”. The display says “Console Room API Pack”. If you hover over it, the text says “Accessory – Console Room API”. Currently, the price is $500L.

3) Original Smith II rezer coordinates

4) Some basic SL building skills

5) Advanced lighting is not a requirement to appreciate the lighting effects of these mods, but turning on advanced lighting does make them prettier with the added effects of moving shadows and such.

This modification would not be possible without the folks over at Hands of Omega. The Smith II is a very detailed and beautiful build, but we love the Capaldi so much, we wanted to turn the Smith II into a reasonable representation of the Capaldi. And, of course, as noted above, you'll need to visit their store to purchase the Smith II (Day of the Doctor) and the API pack if you don't have them already.

Lexii Lane is responsible for the original idea of the Capaldi Care Package and the vast majority of the mesh work. Mishelle Rayna completed the scripting to drive the Capaldi lighting effects and documented the install process. We have plans to work on the land impact some more and Lexii is a never ending source of creativity. But, rl responsibilities often greatly constrain what can be accomplished.

This mod is beautiful. The instructions are very straight forward. If you can follow detailed instructions, this shouldnt be too difficult. I had it together in less than an hour. This mod is HIGHLY recommended! If you are thinking maybe youll get it, just do it. You've got nothing to lose.

I methodically followed the instructions, reading ahead to make sure I didn't mess anything up. Everything came out great! I'm super pleased! The only think I really need to learn now would be how to box it in this state so I could rez it again easily without having to mod it again. Mod time took me about 2 hours because I was super careful to make sure I understood everything. I would love to see more alternate mods for other HoO rooms! Amazing! Thank you so much!

Once you understand the instructions it's dead easy to put the whole thing together, I'm glad this version was uploaded with a rezzer as the one I was given in world was very DIY and not so easy to line things up! So a big thank you for uploading this and allowing the masses to set up HoO-paldi consoles!
