Card table Ovale -C&G-

Semi-circular console after the designs of David Roentgen.

Veneered in mahogany with legs and frieze protected with gilt bronze mounts, the top can be lifted and doubled to an oval shaped surface covered in green felt, and go from having a console usually pushed against a wall to a very practical card table.
Late 18th century.
