The goal of this system is to provide you with a feature rich, stable, good looking rental network with very low resource usage.
You'll be able to use this system to rent our stores, streams, anything you like! It's so fast and SO EASY you'll be up and running in no time.
With only 1 SCRIPT per box (versus 21 with HippoRENT), by switching to CasperLet you're bound to get a much less laggy sim!
Of course, you get the same committed support my customers shout about.
Here's a partial list of current features:
- A cool meter-style rent box, which looks pretty funky! It is designed to be rezzed on the floor, and has a popup prim for notices. It's designed mainly for land or store rentals.
- NEW - A mesh version of the above meter, with updated graphics, and funky new capabilities - only 1 PRIM equiv!
- An old-fashioned 1-prim cube rental unit, which is maybe more suited for applications like stream rental (or areas where prim efficiency is very important)
- Only a single script. Of course.
- You can set "states" which will change the position, size and alpha transparency of the unit when rented and when not rented.
- Remaining rental time calculated accurately to the nearest second.
- Can accept payments of ANY amount. For example, if the cost is L$200 per week, they can pay L$100 and they get half a week instead.
- You can also configure the unit to ONLY accept amounts that cover 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks and 4 weeks.
- Full web management, including some nice maps showing you where each unit is on the sim.

- You can disable reminder notifications, and so can the tenant for the duration of their rental by touching the unit.
- You can reserve a unit for somebody, so it will only allow them to rent
- The unit can be configured to auto-evict when the rental goes overdue.. this can be turned off, or configured to a set amount of time
- The unit can be locked to prevent any rentals
- You can give refunds pro-rata, so the remaining time is calculated and refunded
- You can evict, refund, rent out, reserve, set pricing, set the prim count, set the remaining time or lock the unit all from the web interface
- You can evict, refund or lock the unit from in-world by touching it
- The tenant can touch the unit to see their remaining time
- Anyone can touch the unit to see info on the pricing, etc
- The units may be linked/unlinked as you wish, and the prims retextured - fully modifiable
- The units provide full prim counts and will display a warning when the tenant is over limit
- Units for multiple avatars accross multiple grids can be added to the same account. Everything in one place.
- A detailed list of rental units grouped by either status, region or tenant
- You can set both a minimum and a maximum rental term.
- "Soft lock" - this allows you to prevent the unit from receiving any more payments, but keeps the unit rented.
- Transaction log - A detailed list of the transactions including money received
- An API to allow people to create third party plugins (signs, doors)
- A notecard (or multiple notecards) can be delivered when a user touches the "Info" button

better than most I've seen, but...
The directions for the system are TERRIBLE. It's going to take forever to figure all of this out and what I should use.
Good but need more guides
The product is actually really good but it‘s a steep learning curve when you first use it.
Their team are friendly if you can get in touch but there is a distinct lack of guides on what to do.
If you have friends who already use this - who will help you - then you’ll love it.
Once it’s fully working I feel it’s actively under-priced :)
Absolutely love this unit system!
At first I was hesitant because upon signing up on the website I was given, in instant message, my location. This made me highly uncomfortable. But after chatting the Casperlet group chat, my mind was put at ease. I then set up the rentals and the setup was super easy and simple. I love this product and HIGHLY recommend it! It worth every bit of the L$1,795 spent. :D
Complicated for no reason
I've read the reviews and bought this because most seemed happy with it and it is well known all over sl. I wanted to wait to give a review til after i spoke with someone about my issues, however I went to the profile of the creator and it lead me to another profile. I then went to that profile which lead me to yet another profile.. This last profile said to IM the person and they will send you a link to file a ticket. I file tickets to sl and do not want to file tickets for help with a product and it was just yet another tedious thing I'd be doing.
First problem was when you open the instruction notecard, it sends you to wiki, where you have to go through this and that instead of just giving me step by step instructions. Second problem I had, was that the price and prim allotment would not change when i would click the button to update the price entered. I finally, out of habit, clicked ENTER and it successfully changed the price and then the prims. Now my third issue is that, after searching and reading, it seems there is no auto group inviter. I purchased a system, that i now wish I had used instead, that cost me 50L and sent invites once someone rented the parcel. Being that I have rented places before from others that used casperlet and would warn you if you have went over your prim allotment, I assumed that it would be a simple process to have that occur. The prim counter isn't that simple. I am so frustrated with this system and probably will be using the other product I had used in prior rentals. The map of your land you get once you set your units out is a really nice touch. I hate giving bad review to what is a seemingly decent product... Put back the instruction notecard with step by step instructions and add an auto group inviter.
Profit Sharing Bug
Although I would like to say this is a great product and streamlines the rental process, which it truly does, there is a bug in profit sharing that people do need to be aware of which did result in a significant profit share to my business partner AFTER Casperlet provided a refund to my renter. And be advised if and when this does happen that all refunds are made from YOUR account regardless of profit share payments. Casper has indicated that they have fixed this bug but I wouldn't want to have to be a victim of this type of scripting error again which has been costly to me, so if you are new to this business as I am, please be careful with any trust to how they configure and pay profit share. As I said, the system itself appeared to run flawless for all of 6 weeks and it does seem fairly simple to use. Although they could do nothing to take back what has happened to me, I would have liked to give a better review for customer service as they did respond timely to my inquiry but when this type of thing happens and you are left holding the proverbial bag and then told you have an attitude for being frustrated, well nothing more needs to be said about that.
