The AdBoard System

The AdBoard is a revolutionary new set of tools for both land owners and advertisers.
The AdBoard is an indispensable tool for land owners, allowing them to offer advertising space for rent, that displays a texture and dispenses a landmark.
Renters can choose to use the board either
OFFLINE: By dropping in a Texture and Landmark they created;
or ONLINE: by dropping in the address of their Catalyst AdServer.
Because renters can use the AdBoard with their AdServer and easily update, change and manage their Advertisements across SL, it is the preferred choice, so ensure you are offering AdBoard space to your clients.
With an AdServer, they can also elect to deliver a Notecard, instead of a Landmark when their advertisement is clicked.

Bid/Rent System:

The AdBoards are outfitted to accept two types of rentals. Potential Renters can choose to either:
BID on the Advertising Space, allowing them to use it until they are either outbidded or the rental period expires (whichever comes first)
or
RENT the Advertising Space, by paying the 2nd (and usually higher) price. This gives them exclusive rights to use the AdBoard until the rental period expires.
The AdBoard Helios:
------------------------------
The AdBoard Helios is named after the greek god of the sun for its ability to bring light to the night. This AdBoard is equipped with inbuilt sensors that monitor the position of the sun, and adjust the lights accordingly.
