Nearly all pieces of gum in SL are only able to create a bubble and a sound. Only a few of them have chewing animations. And almost all of them have a stressing sound of chewing that makes everybody around you be stressed.

7 pieces of bubblegum (only bubble animation, no chewing), each with different types of bubbles
7 pieces of chewing/bubble gum. They make your avatar chew for a while, then make a bubble. Also, all parameters are different for all the 7 variations. And all is very realistic.
