Do you remember the church nativity scenes from days long gone? The stable made by your church's men's club? Even at my advanced age, I remember them well, and with fondness.
The stable was inexpensive and nailed together out of boards. They made no pretense out of building an actual stable, of course. The one they constructed had a sort of roof with a plywood star over it. The front walls were removed so passersby could see the Mary and Joseph inside, and on Christmas the baby Jesus was added.
Please note that I did not make the figures and animals in this nativity. Those were made by artists much more talented than I. But I did scour the marketplace, looking for just the right ones that looked like the plastic ones the church used. Yes, they also did plywood silhouettes as well but I have my standards. :)
The trees are an Argyle product. You may copy as many as you like. All trees in the same region are operated by the one fifteen button control panel. The lights on the tree illuminate according to the color on the button. Blue, red, green, orange, and all colors in-between. And all colors, if you push the color-wheel button on the top left. Feel free to copy these trees and decorate all around your church, home, or business.
I built this to put in front of my own church. I think it is very appropriate.
